Day 4 In Oz

Saturday, November 5th
While listening to Cruz's chest today, the nurse heard a murmur.  An echocardiogram was performed to see what was going on.  He has a heart condition called patent ductus arteriosus which is when a blood vessel called the ductus arteriosus fails to close soon after an infants birth. He will now be treated with meds to try and close it.  His vent settings are down to 28% oxygen.  His chest xray looked better and his blood gases are holding steady.

Daily Adventure:  Around 11:25pm, our hotel started shaking and we realized it was an earthquake.  This was the first earthquake I have experienced.
