Ridin the Rails and Pumpkin Pickin

On Friday, October 8th since school was out we (Mark took off work) decided to take the kids on a day full of adventure.  First stop, the Railroad Park.  I thought the kids were going to have a great time but that is not exactly what happened at first.  There was alot of complaining regarding walking, the heat (it was really hot and I dressed them in long pants...oops!).  But, I think they ended up having a good time.  They really liked watching the trains driving through.  Here are some shots from the morning:

Next stop, lunch with Memaw!  The kids always have a great time with Memaw and who wouldn't she's the BEST!!!!

Then off to Old Baker Farm for some fall fun.  We did stop at the house and change into shorts before this next adventure began!

Coker loved touching the animals!

Decisions...decisions?

The perfect pumpkin!

My favorite is always picking the perfect pumpkin.  This year I choose the cinderella pumpkin.  The kids loved the hay maze and the hay stack.  But the best part of all was the corn maze.  Madyson, Carter and me were on one team and Mark/Coker on another.  We did a race through the maze to see who could make it out first.  Team Daddy tried to cheat and follow us then got caught!  Team Mommy got lost in the maze for what seemed like forever.  I didn't think we were going to make it out.  But when we started getting close to the exit we heard Mark laughing.  So that was a dead giveaway that Team Daddy had won!

It was a great day of family togetherness that seems to easily be forgotten due to the busyness of life.  It is always so comforting to bring our family together for some alone time!!!!
